JOURNALISM and PR students have the opportunity to find out what it’s really like to work in the media and PR industries – and to build up their contact list at the same time.
Our third “Movers and Shakers” networking event organised by the University’s Journalism and PR team will be held on Thursday, October 16, at 7pm at Sunderland’s Quayside Exchange.
Many industry professionals from newspapers, magazines, radio and television and Public Relations – among them several former Sunderland graduates – will be there to give students an insight into their work.
Some of the North East’s decision makers and opinion formers will also be at the event – giving students a great opportunity to make contacts.
Admission is free and there is a free buffet and free entertainment. All Journalism and PR students are invited.
This is our third Movers and Shakers event and feedback from students who have attended in the past has been very positive. This is a great networking opportunity for students, not only for those seeking work placements but for those looking ahead to their future careers wanting a genuine insight into the world of journalism and PR. Apart from that, it’s also a lot of fun.
