The University of Sunderland will launch an MA in Public Relations in September 2009.
The new one-year programme will help media and other graduates gain a broad range of practical skills and theoretical understandings which will provide the foundation for a successful career in Public Relations.
Sunderland has established an international reputation for expertise in the application of social media in Public Relations practice and this will be a core theme of the programme.
Programme leader Philip Young is co-author of Online Public Relations 2nd Ed (2009) and a lead researcher with the European Public Relations and Education Research Association’s EuroBlog project.
